The 2018 season for the Advance Auto Parts Granite State Mini Sprints got underway Friday May 11th at The Legion Speedway.

The 500cc Feature was up first and found the #24 of Joe Kemp jump into the lead from the outside pole position shortly after the green flag flew with the #45 of Eric Relation settling into the second position. By the time the races' first caution flew with three laps complete for the stopped #42 of Ryan Farewell on the backstretch Tom Chaffee in the #1 had charged from his ninth starting position to fourth. When racing resumed Joe Kemp maintained the lead but William Pinkham SR charged into second place with Tom Chaffee obtaining third. William Pinkham SR took the lead at t he halfway point but before another lap was complete the #18 of Nate Martell came to a stop facing the wrong direction on the inside of the backstretch. When racing resumed the green stayed out only for a single lap before the #23 of Bill Black impacted one of the marker tires coming out of turn two and then hit the tires protecting a light pole. Both Black and the car were OK and he took his spot at the tail of the field. When racing resumed Tom Chaffee moved past Kemp into second with Pinkham SR first. As the race wore on it was apparent that Pinkham SR was slowing a bit and Chaffee pounced on the problem easily taking the lead with three laps remaining to take the win. Joe Kemp crossed the line second with William Pinkham SR fading to third. Eric Relation was fourth with the #51 of Riley Chaffee fifth.

The 600cc feature found Tony Shaw in his #20 breaking into the lead when the green flew, leading the first lap. Tyler Jones in the #17 took the lead before lap two was complete with Shaw maintaining a comfortable second. With three laps complete the caution flew for the #91 of Nick Ostertag. When racing resumed the top two remained the same with the #29 of Mark Wiggett third. Four laps later Wiggett would retire to the infield after hitting one of the infield tires, handing third to rookie Brady Lamotte. The running order remained the same until the caution flew on lap eleven for the #19 of William Ostertag. Jones and Shaw remained first and second for the rest of the race but the third spot changed hands a couple of times between Lamotte and Nick Ostertag. At the checkers it was Tyler Jones with the win, Tony Shaw second, Brady Lamotte third, Nick Ostertag fourth and William Ostertag fifth

Heat Race wins went to Eric Relation and William Pinkham SR in the 500cc's with Tyler Jones winning the 600cc Heat.
